How to Sign In to Click-to-Dial
Salesforce & Zoom — Click-to-Dial Setup
Overview
This guide walks you through how to confirm you're signed into Click-to-Dial for Zoom, so you can make outbound calls directly from a client's account in Salesforce.
Who This Is For: All sales agents making outbound calls through Salesforce.
Required Systems: Salesforce and Zoom.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log In to Salesforce
Click-to-Dial starts in Salesforce, so begin by logging into your Salesforce account.
Step 2: Locate Click-to-Dial
Once you're logged in, look for the Click-to-Dial or Phone button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
Step 3: Sign In to Zoom
If you are not already signed in, Click-to-Dial will show you a Sign In option. Click Sign In, and you'll be redirected to Zoom.
Step 4: Allow Permissions
In Zoom, click Allow, and then click Allow again to confirm.
Step 5: Confirm You're Signed In
Return to Salesforce. Your username should now be reflected in Click-to-Dial, and you should see an active dial pad appear.
Step 6: Verify on a Client Account
Open a client's account to confirm everything is working:
- Not signed in: the phone icon appears as a black receiver with a slash through it.
- Signed in and ready: the icon turns blue. Once you see the blue icon, you're good to go — just click it to dial out.
Quick Tips for Success
- Check the icon color. Black with a slash means you're not signed in; blue means you're ready to dial.
- Allow permissions fully. Make sure to click Allow both times Zoom prompts you.
- Verify before dialing. Always check a client's account for the blue icon before assuming you're connected.
